New Marketing & Sales Organization Specialty Resins Business Unit

10.11.2016

Following Mexichem’ s diversification of its vinyl business through recent acquisitions with a keen focus on more highly specialized products, the PVC business was restructured into two global Business Units: General Resins and Specialty Resins.

The Specialty Resins BU is managing Paste Dispersion Resins, Copolymers and Blending/Extender Resins out of its production sites in Mexico, Colombia, USA and Germany. The Specialty Resins BU is headed by Dieter Polte (President BU Specialty Resins).

BU Specialty Resins world-wide

In order to optimize and further improve the service level to our valued customers in providing state-of-the–art products, we are realigning the global Marketing and Sales organization of the Specialty Resins BU. We are striving to fully satisfy the requirements of our customers and continue to be accepted as one of the preferred long-term sources for vinyl requirements.

Under the leadership of Oliver Kretschmann (Executive Vice President Business Development) the business management/marketing function will be headed by Stefanie Jannowsky (Flooring and Textile Coating) out of Germany and Fernando Garcia (Technical Coating and Specialties) out of the U.S. Fernando and Stefanie are acting as Global Business Directors and are responsible for the global strategic management of their assigned market segments.

The global sales organization is led by Hans-Christoph Porth (Executive Vice President Commercial). Within this global organization we implement two Commercial Directors: Kathrin Steußing (Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa (EAMEA)) and Andres Amador Marin (Americas). In addition to heading their respective regional sales organizations they are both responsible for the direct coordination of assigned global key account groups.

The Asian and Middle East regions are important strategic growth regions for Specialty Resins BU. In order to establish an adequate local sales and distribution network in these regions, Markus Karch is named as Sales Manager AMEA (Asia, Middle East, Africa), reporting to Kathrin Steußing. In this function he will coordinate the activities of the Specialty Resins BU’s distribution partners in the EAMEA regions as well.

While these changes are occurring at the leadership level, it is important to know, that the existing sales organization in the different regions remain in place to continue to provide the local service required.

As the European sales organization (VESTOLIT) is supporting the General Resins business in Europe as well, we are happy to announce the assignment of Daniel Schimikowski as the Key Account Manager / Regional Coordinator Profiles in order to service our major accounts in the extrusion and calendaring applications.

With regard to the Base Chemicals Business of VESTOLIT, this continues to be managed by Martin Peters, acting as Segment Manager Base Chemicals. Giuseppe Strazzeri will continue to be the partner to our major customers as Key Account Manager Base Chemicals.

In their functions all three are reporting directly to Hans-Christoph Porth.

We are implementing this new structure to meet the growing demands of our customers and the markets we are active in. We look forward to continuing to providing superior service, reliability and value you have come to expect from Mexichem Specialty Resins.
